I take an evidence-based approach to advice and started my own strength training journey 3 years ago. As a 45 year old woman who had never lifted weights, it's been life changing. Building and protecting muscle mass is absolutely essential for longevity, preserving bone density, assisting with body composition change and preventing a huge range of health risks. Your body needs fuel for strength, but relationships with food can be challenging. My nutrition coaching considers your current habits, keeping the foods you enjoy, and supporting your training. These factors are then balanced to create a programme to meet your energy requirements and body composition goals. This is not a quick-fix approach. This is about sustainable change.
I'm based at Pure Gym in Horsham. It's a newly opened (May 2025) state of the art space, beautifully maintained, with all the equipment we could possibly need. Memberships are incredibly good value and they are open 24 hours are day. It's a great way to work together in person.
If you have your own home gym then I can come to you. I have a wide range of appointment times during the week (including weekends) which can work around my in-person shifts. I can create a programme to suit the equipment you have and can also suggest any additions that can help meet your goals.
Whilst personal training is in person (it's a far better experience for us both), nutrition coaching can be done online only. This would involve digital information exchange but regular face-to-face catch ups via Zoom.
