Hi there! Thank you for stopping by.
Qualifications are undoubtedly needed to design a successful training programme, but I believe it's also the personal connection that can really make a difference to a programme's success. Afterall this is a two-way relationship.
So this page gives you a snapshot of what I think is important on a personal level, and what I focus on. My qualifications are listed at the end.
It's much nicer to do this in person, but a little intro here doesn't hurt!

Making a change isn't easy and you need to be ready. It's likely that your past / current behaviours & habits will need to change to move you closer to your goals, and this can feel really challenging.
The important thing is that you acknowledge and accept your starting point. It's the difference between wanting to make a change, and actually being willing to do what it takes to accomplish it.
When we meet about your goals, we'll make sure that we've really nailed down the reasons for wanting to invest in your health and that this is the right time for you. Being open and honest with each other is key! It's an exciting journey ahead.

It's very easy to say, "I'm going to train 3 times a week, increase my step count, drink more water, prep lunch the night before, spend more time with the family, and go to bed by 10pm".
And this may well happen to begin with...until life gets in the way, and you have a crappy day at work, the kids are driving you up the wall, the house looks like a bomb has hit it, and you've turned into the hungry caterpillar on steroids.
It's the difference between achievable and realistic. I'll make sure that the goals we're agreeing are realistic even on your worst day. I'm in your corner and I will never ever judge.

The last time I did Hyrox, I was asked what my goal was. My answer was to enjoy every minute and be grateful I was there. I repeated that mantra in my head on the way round.
I actually ended up getting a PB as I had removed all the pressure on myself. I had trained really hard for it, but I was no longer comparing myself to others and their results (as I have done in the past).
And that's my point. This is your journey, your commitment and your results. No one else's. If the person next to you in the squat rack is lifting more, then kudos to them! Give them a high five. If you can focus on being grateful for what you are able to do now, it is a far more enjoyable experience. It's going to benefit your future self too.

I want you to enjoy your sessions, feel like you are listened to, and leave with more knowledge than when you started. If I've delivered that, then I'm happy. I know you will be too!
I have worked with many people of varying ages, in small group personal training, and I have an extensive knowledge of movement patterns. This will enable me to progress or regress an exercise to make it personalised to you. I also have the following industry qualifications:
